But you may not be sure what these holidays are, which can be confusing.

Love Your Pet Day
One of the most popular 2022 pet holidays is Love Your Pet Day. This holiday, celebrated on February 20th, is a time to give your sweet dog, cat, or other pet some TLC. Give your pet a special treat, go on an extra-long walk, or give it a little more attention than usual.
You could even go on a trip with your pet to a pet-friendly cafe or park. This way, they can enjoy the holiday with new pet friends!
Other ideas include allowing your pet to sleep in bed with you for the night or giving them some extra cuddles.
No one knows when this holiday was started, but however it started, it's a great opportunity to give your pet some extra love.
National Pet Memorial Day
One of the most important yearly pet holidays is National Pet Memorial Day, which is celebrated on September 11th this year. This is an incredibly important holiday for anyone who has lost their pet since the bond we have with our pets is one of the strongest in the world.
If you’ve lost a pet who’s special to you, make sure you celebrate this holiday. The feeling of solidarity will make you feel less alone in your grief.
For this holiday, you can visit your pet’s grave if they have one. You can also have a dinner or other type of event celebrating the life they shared with you, inviting your friends and family.
Over time, it will be easier to deal with this loss, but in the meantime, this will help you come to terms with this tragedy.
This holiday was started by The International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematories more than 40 years ago.
Take Your Dog to Work Day
Given the popularity of dogs in the workplace these days, it’s no surprise that this is a holiday. Take Your Dog to Work Day occurs on June 24th, and was originally created by the group Pet Sitters International to encourage pet adoptions.
To celebrate, bring your furry friend to work—or bring in some would-be pets from a nearby shelter to see if any of your colleagues end up adopting one!
